Submitting your working paper for publication
When ready for publication, please submit your paper to your departmental research representative.
Once the paper has been approved by the departmental research representative, your departmental publications officer will update the LUMS publications database.
If possible, please submit your paper as a Word file. PDF files are also acceptable (for instance, if you have used a program like LaTeX to write your paper), but please stick to Word if you can.
Style and formatting
- The basic visual style and formatting of the paper is up to the authors. LUMS has set no style limitations.
Essential information for inclusion
- Title of Paper
- Date
- Author names (if authors are not from LUMS, please give details of their institution)
Optional Information (recommended)
- Abstract
- Key words or phrases (these should be in lower case and comma separated)
- Contact information for authors
Note: the School should always be referred to as 'Lancaster University Management School' (not as 'The Management School, Lancaster University')
Publication in an academic journal
If a working paper is subsequently published in a journal or book, it is the author's responsibility to contact the Research Office and ask for the downloadable PDF file to be removed from the LUMS system. If the PDF file remains in the LUMS system, it may infringe the journal copyright.
