About the LUMS website
Browser compatibility
The LUMS website supports web standards. To view the graphical layout of the LUMS website as it is intended you need to be using a modern, standards-compliant web browser which has good support for Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
CSS & XHTML
Page layout on the LUMS site is achieved using CSS for all positioning and layout. The majority of our pages meet the World Wide Web Consortium standards. Our page markup uses HTML5.
The LUMS content management system
Lying behind the LUMS web pages is a powerful content management system called Fabric, developed by our web partners Incutio. Fabric is built using open source software, principally MySQL and PHP running on a Linux/Apache server platform.
Design
The visual design of the LUMS website is by web manager Richard Evans.
Photography
We are indebted to many people, especially to staff and students, for supplying photographs used on the LUMS website.
