Lancaster University Management School is typically ranked in the UK's top four and among the world's highly ranked management and business schools. It is the only UK business school to be so highly ranked across all major activities (MBA and Masters, Undergraduate, PhD, Research and Executive Education). MBA (Financial Times)
The Financial Times' 2012 Top 100 Global Full-time MBA programmes ranked LUMS 71st in the world. During the last five years the Lancaster MBA has twice been ranked 3rd in the world for Value for Money.
MBA (Forbes)
Forbes magazine ranked the Lancaster MBA 7th in the world and 3rd in the UK in its 2011 ranking of the best non-US one-year MBA programmes. Forbes uses Return on Investment (ROI) as the main measure.
MSc Finance (Financial Times) 
The Financial Times Global Masters in Finance 2011 ranking ranked Lancaster's MSc in Finance 27th in the world, 10th in the UK and 1st in the north of England in 2011.
MSc Management (Financial Times) 
The Financial Times Masters in Management 2010 ranking ranked Lancaster 60th in the world, 11th in the UK, and 1st in the northwest of England.
Research (Higher Education Funding Council)
In the latest Research Assessment Exercise (RAE, 2008) Lancaster is in the top four university business schools on most measures of research quality, and 5th equal if using the simple grade point average score.
Three quarters of Lancaster University Management School’s research activity has been assessed as world leading or internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour, and virtually all its research (95%) is of international standing.
PhD/Doctoral (Financial Times)
The Financial Times January 2010 ranking of the world's top 100 global schools ranks LUMS' PhD and doctoral programmes 5th in Europe, and 3rd in the UK, based on a combination of numbers of graduates and where they were employed after graduation.
Customised Executive Education (Financial Times)
LUMS was ranked in the world's top 50 for customised executive education by the FT in 2009.
Undergraduate
The Guardian University Guide 2012 ranked Lancaster 7th nationally and first in Northern England.
Lancaster University was ranked 9th nationally and first in the Northwest in the Independent Complete University Guide for 2012.
The Times Good University Guide 2012 ranked Lancaster University 9th nationally and first in the Northwest. Accounting and Finance was ranked 2nd, Business Studies 6th and Economics 17th in the subject guides.
