Choosing the BSc Business Studies at LUMS was the best decision I have ever made. Right from the start I was made to feel very welcome and I was impressed by the organisation and knowledge of the staff. They are always willing to help and can be relied upon to spend time with you, should you need it.
The BSc in Business Studies is an excellent degree with an unparalleled range of courses. Not only do you have the opportunity to improve your knowledge on a theoretical level but your interpersonal skills are tested and built upon on a constant basis. The three years of study were a great challenge and if you are willing to put the work in and contribute in other activities you will certainly feel the benefit. Along the way I have met many like-minded people and have made lifelong friends and useful contacts.
After focusing on management science and marketing subjects I have gained a huge range of tools that I am sure will come in handy in my new job at Gist Ltd. Gist are a logistics organisation partnering large UK institutions such as Marks and Spencer and British Airways. My role will be as an operations manager – following the completion of a two-year training period within various functions of the business.
My business degree and the help and advice I received from the careers service in the Management School made a significant contribution to me receiving a graduate job offer. I am really looking forward to getting into the real world of work and testing the knowledge and skills I have developed over the course of my degree.
