Andy Bohong Chen
BA Accounting and Finance, 2006
Country of origin: China
I majored in Accounting and Finance but also studied Economics and Operational Research.
I enjoyed the time I had at Lancaster University. Here, you study, you do sports and you can join in many social events which allows you to make lots of good friends. As a former President of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association, I co-ordinated a wide range of events such as a welcome party, singing competition, Christmas party and Chinese New Year Show, etc. Through these activities, I have developed all kinds of personal skills.
On the academic side, lectures and tutorials were very well arranged. Tutors were approachable and always willing to provide help. I believe that it was a very wise decision to choose LUMS – one of the best management schools in this country.
After graduating from LUMS, I was employed by RWE Trading in Swindon for a year. I then took the MPhil in Real Estate Finance in the Land Economy Department of Cambridge University, for which I was awarded a 4000GBP scholarship by the prestigious Cambridge Overseas Trust. I am now working as a Consulting Analyst for management consultancy Steer Davis Gleave.
I will definitely come back to visit Lancaster University. I love this place – it has given me lots of unforgettable memories.
