Operations Management was an excellent, well-rounded course, covering the most important skills and knowledge required in any business or industry. My year at Boston College in the USA – where I spent time as an exchange student – added a different perspective and a worthwhile bonus to the course as a whole. I also spent a year on placement with British Steel (now known as Corus).
I then undertook voluntary work in Peru until December 2003. I completed a summer internship at Deutsche Bank, e-Equities Division in 2001, and internships at UBS (an investment bank) Operations Division during 2002 and 2003. In March 2004 I started an Analyst Training Programme with UBS in their Operations Divison.
