Student societies
The LUMS Careers Team provides careers and employability provision specifically within LUMS.
Louise Briggs (Employability Enterprise and Careers Manager) & Natalie Redfern are currently working with a number of student societies in order to better co-ordinate careers and employability events within the Management School and provide a more coherent programme for LUMS students.
The student societies that LUMS are currently working with include:
- LU Economics Society
- Bright Futures
- LU Investment & Finance Society
- Lancaster Entrepreneurs
- LU Marketing Society
- SIFE
All open events held by societies will appear on the Careers Events Calendar situated on the LUMS Carerers Team website; and all LUMS students who are regsitered members should be able to attend these events.
Lancaster University student societies provide fantastic opportunities for students from any academic, social or ethnic background to network socially and develop their knowledge and skill set, thus improving their employability. Members of these societies come from many backgrounds and study varying subjects. There is a pool of knowledge and experience amongst society members and regular activities lead to highly developed levels of commercial and careers awareness.
