The GOLD Programme
Since launching LEAD in 2004, IEED has continuously run a follow-on programme for business owners wanting to further develop their venture, maintain their network of fellow LEAD graduates and keep in touch with development at Lancaster University.
In early 2010 we launched the pilot of the Graduate Of LEAD Development (GOLD) Programme. It gives participants a structured approach for experimenting with having a Non-Executive Director (NED) in their company and to practise being a NED in someone else's. Meeting once a month in groups of six or seven, they simulate the role of NED within a board meeting environment and focus on delivering strategic growth.
The University provides and supports a detailed step-by-step programme on how to carry out this role with the help of facilitators, master classes and learning reflection days.
