LEAD Evaluation
In February 2007, policy makers, development agencies, business link advisors, small business owners and representatives from other higher education institutions came from across the country to join us at our LEAD dissemination event.
The event was held to celebrate LEAD’s success and share the findings of an evaluation of the 67 owner-managers from cohorts 1-4 who had participated on the programme between October 2004 and March 2006.
The report found that the companies have reported an average annual sales increase of £200,000 and that ninety per cent of companies expect an increase in employment, productivity or profits in the next two to three years.

The external quantitative research upon which the report is based was conducted by Colin Wren and Jonathan Jones of the Economics Department within Newcastle's Business School and was published in July 2006.
