Accreditation - ICAEW

For our 2010 graduates, the following exemptions are available (subject to modules completed and scores). 

Professional Stage Exemptions

Exemptions are available for honours graduates of the following degrees:-

  • BA/BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance
  • BSc (Hons) Accounting, Finance and Mathematics
  • BA (Hons) Accounting and Economics

You must have achieved a pass mark of at least 50% in each module (unless otherwise stated below).  Available exemptions are:-

  • Accounting : requires AcF 100 and AcF 212
  • Business and Finance : requires Upper Second or First Class degree or minimum 50% in each of: AcF 100; ECON 101 or 102; AcF 211; AcF 212 and AcF 213a/b)
  • Law (requires LAW 217 and LAW 317 and LAW 318)
  • Management Information (requires AcF 100 and AcF 213a/b)
  • Principles of Taxation (requires AcF 306)
  • Financial Management (requires AcF 100; AcF 214 (a/b); AcF 302 and AcF 305)

Advanced Stage (i.e. second stage) Exemptions

ICAEW does not grant any exemption from any previous study for its Advanced Stage syllabus.
