Programmes in management learning and leadership

The Department of Management Learning and Leadership advocates approaches to learning which are based on ideas of self-management as well as collaboration.

Our two different programmes for postgraduate study share in common the Management Learning tradition of bridging theory and practice, critical thought, and self-direction within supportive, highly engaged, peer communities.

  • MA in Management Learning & Leadership (part-time) Innovative and leading-edge Masters for developing critically reflective management and leadership practice in public, private and voluntary organisations. Relevant also to those working in HRD, education, training and consultancy.

  • MA in Human Resources & Consulting (full-time) caters for individuals who may be at an earlier stage in their careers or who wish to convert to a career in management education, human resource development and consultancy and who are able to study full time.

  • PhD programme (both full and part-time) for those wishing to continue their studies to doctoral level. Approximately half of the students on these higher degrees are from outside the UK. For more information, download the  DMLL PhD Brochure.

The debates, discussions, dialogue are rich with thought. Even the silences are noisy.
