Alumni activities and networking
Connections with Lancaster certainly need not stop after you graduate with your Masters degree. Both the Department of Management Learning & Leadership and the Management School have active networks of alumni, and provide a range of services designed to keep you in touch with latest developments in thinking and practice.
By joining our alumni network, you will receive invitations to special guest lectures, conferences, seminars and other events organised by the Department of Management Learning & Leadership and various other School departments.
MAMLL hits 30!
In 2012 we held a special event called Art and Innovation in Management Learning Practice to celebrate 30 years of our part-time MA in Management Learning and Leadership (MAMLL).
Alumni from all our programmes, part-time and full-time, are welcome.
Management Learning and Leadership discussion seminars
Alumni are invited to regular conferences and seminars organised by the Department of Management Learning and Leadership. These provide an ideal platform for alumni to share ideas, update and re-examine their professional practice, make new contacts and renew acquaintance with old friends.
For prospective applicants to our MAMLL programme, they can also be a great way of getting a sense of the programme's style and ethos.
Other services for alumni
The School is always seeking new ways to extend its links with alumni, and offers various ways to keep in touch with old friends from your time at Lancaster.
- Subscribing to the Management School’s free annual magazine, Ambassador, gives you latest news on the year's main events at the School, together with news sent in from our alumni around the world. You can also downoad PDFs of issues from previous years from the LUMS website.
- To help with networking, you can join Lancaster Online, a password-protected service run by the University's alumni office. Registration is free, and this can be an excellent way of tracing past friends and colleagues from your own programme and or from other LUMS Masters programmes.
- A special agreement with the publishers of Business Source Premier enables our alumni to access this extensive database which includes not only top scholarly journals but also full text of the Harvard Business Review. >> more information
