Management Mathematics

This scheme was previously known as Mathematics, Statistics & Operational Research and is a joint scheme with the Dept of Mathematics & Statistics.

Part I requirements for Management Mathematics joint majors

MSCI 101 Statistics and Computing for Management
and
MSCI 103 Management Science / Operational Research

The combination of these two courses make up one Part I unit. A second unit must be taken with the Mathematics Department. Students may choose any third Part I subject.

You can discuss your choice of courses with the Part I Director of Studies, Mark Stevenson. A good opportunity to do this is at the 'Meet your major department' event during Intro Week.

Part II requirements for Man.Maths joint majors

Students must take at least 7 half units from the courses in this department (listed here),
including the following compulsory half units:

Statistics
Statistics courses will be taken in the Mathematics department.

Project Management
MSCI 251 Integrated Project Management;
MSCI 252 Project Management & Consultancy Skills

O.R. / Management Science
MSCI 222 Optimisation;
MSCI 223 Business Modelling & Simulation;
