Marketing

The Department of Marketing was established at Lancaster University in 1965 with the first Professor of Marketing in a UK university.

It currently has over 15 members of academic staff and, in addition, there are a number of staff in other departments in the Management School who have interests in particular areas of marketing.

The Department has a large undergraduate programme and launched an innovative MSc in Advanced Marketing Management in 2004-2005.

The Department has a thriving community of full and part-time doctoral students. Research students not only have access to experienced staff and resources in the University but also contribute to existing programmes of research in the Department.
