Assessment

How is the work assessed?

In your first year you take Marketing, a management or management-related subject and a third subject from a wide choice (or your modern language subject if you are taking a combined degree in Marketing with a language).

The Marketing course is assessed by coursework (40%) and exams (60%). You must pass in all three subjects in order to carry on with your degree but only your second and final-year marks count towards your final degree class.

For the single honours degree in Marketing, in your second and third years you may take up to six courses in Marketing and a minimum of two courses in other subjects (generally those which you studied in your first year). Advertising students take one course in another subject. The Marketing and Advertising courses are assessed by coursework (50%) and exams (50%) overall.
