Full-time MBA projects
Students on the Lancaster MBA have an average of 8 years' management experience. They undertake complex business, not-for-profit or public sector-based projects that have a strategic element.
There are three types of MBA project or MBA internship available each year.
New Venture Challenge This is an excellent opportunity in the Autumn Term for small local companies to team up with experienced MBA students in helping to identify/drive forward a new venture/stream of business that the company would not, under normal circumstances, have the time and manpower to address.
Output: a business plan and client presentation
Cost: travel costs only

MBA Consultancy Challenge This takes place during a two-week period in the Spring Term. The review aims to provide a client organisation with some external help in relation to a highlighted problem area or opportunity.
Output: an executive report and presentation to their senior management.
Cost: travel costs only
MBA Internship/Corporate Challenge This takes place over six weeks in mid-summer. These experienced managers are available to undertake an in-depth investigation of a complex issue or opportunity for an organisation and produce recommendations that are strategic in nature.
Output: a detailed executive report, and presentation to the senior management team.
Cost: travel and accommodation reimbursements if applicable, payment to student by negotiation.
