MSc in Management projects

Student experience: recent graduates focused on pursuing a career in management.
Type of project: low-level projects usually focused on one business function.
Availability: There are two types of MSc in Management project available between June and August:

1. Research Project. A group of 4 students carry out desk-based research on a topic chosen by the company. They are based here at Lancaster, holding frequent meetings with the company contact. An average project is 6-8 weeks long.
Output: a client report and presentation.
Cost: £2000 + VAT per group (covering academic supervision) plus any expenses.

2. Client Project. A group of 2 students work to help address an existing problem with managers in the company. The students are usually based at the company, but can be based here at Lancaster attending frequent meetings. An average project is 8-10 weeks long.
Output: a client report and presentation.
Cost: £1000 + VAT for 2 students (covering academic supervision) plus all out-of-pocket expenses.

MSc in Management programme information.

MSc in Operational Research projects

Student experience: recent graduates focused on becoming operational research professionals. They are highly trained in OR and effectively act as expert consultants during their projects.
Type of project: specific to an operational research area of an organisation. Projects are usually sourced either directly for senior management or in co-operation with in-house operational researchers/management scientists.
Availability: May to August. An average project is 16 weeks long.
Output: a detailed executive report and presentation.
Cost: £2900 + VAT per student plus all out-of-pocket expenses. The cost reflects the expertise of the students and covers the academic supervision of the project.

MSc in International Business projects

Student experience: recent graduates specialising in all aspects of international trade, finance and investment.
Type of project: projects must have an international element usually in economics, marketing, finance or banking areas.
Availability: May until August.
Output: a detailed executive report.
Cost: all student expenses.
