Lancaster University Students’ Union would like to invite you to an informal networking evening at Habitat World, New Delhi on 18th September. You will join 40 of our undergraduate students who are visiting Delhi as part of Lancaster’s international student exchange programme.
Prof. V.N.Balasubramanyam of Development Economics in the Management School has kindly agreed to speak and the evening will start with an overview of the services sector in the Indian economy, and the potential of this sector to grow India’s Gross National Product. Prof. Balasubramanyam will focus in particular on tourism and its impact within this and whether services can be the lead sector in India.
Stephen King, General Manager-India for Virgin Atlantic and LUMS graduate (BSc in Operational Research and Operations Management, 2002) will speak about his experience of business in India and future plans.
Prof. V.N.Balasubramanyam and Stephen King will be joined by Dr George Lincoln, International Exchange Leader and Himanshu Kumar, LUMS Graduate (BBA Management, 2010) for a Q&A session.
