Family Business Knowledge Exchange Day
Friday 9 July 2010, 09:00
Lancaster University Management School
Lancaster University would like to invite you to our Family Business Knowledge Exchange Day on the 9th July 2010. The theme of the day is innovation and entrepreneurship. We have invited family business experts from all over the world, as well as lots of local businesses to come and share their ideas and knowledge.
There is no charge for the event: the only charge would be if you wish to join the post-conference Jazz cruise around Windermere in the evening at a price of £50. It will be a fantastic event and we would be privileged if you could attend.
We are also looking for volunteers who would like to be involved in an Action Learning Set that is specific to the day. Volunteers will have the opportunity to put forward a particular business issue for other business owners and family business experts to discuss and advise on. If you would like to be considered for this part of the day please let us know.
Key Points:
- Help to develop a family business action plan aimed at influencing change in government policies.
- Be involved in live mini case studies that will debate real issues in local family businesses.
- Plenty of networking opportunities
- Following a hard days work, reward yourself with a Jazz Cruise in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Windermere
Speakers:
- Edwin Booth, Chairman Booth & Co Ltd
- Dr Martin Spring, Lancaster University Management School
- Grant Gordon, Director General Institute for Family Business
- John Holdstock, Partner of Grant Thornton
