Information for incoming students
Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) welcomes international students taking course units for credit towards the award of their degree at their home university.
Students can come here either on a fee-paying Study Abroad basis, or as an exchange student coming from one of our partner institutions.
Admissions and registration arrangements are made through Lancaster University’s International Office.
There is a full handbook listing course units which can be taken as credit towards your degree. You need to check, in particular, the courses taught in departments in Lancaster University Management School:
- Accounting and Finance
- Economics
- Entrepreneurship
- Management
- Management Science and Operations Management
- Marketing
- Organisation Work and Technology
The course descriptions also give credit weightings (both in ECTS and US systems) for each course unit.
Special application and reference forms are available. Please note that we ask all incoming students to provide study plans and references from their home institutions.
We also recommend that you consult the FAQ for detailed information about applications processes, arrival arrangements, provision of pre-sessional English Language courses, accommodation and lifestyle, and teaching and learning arrangements. You may also find useful information to help your transition to the UK in the Monetos service guide.
