You can apply for a study abroad place at a university in the USA, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand and numerous European countries after you register at Lancaster. The flexibility of our degrees means that, in some cases, even if you are not admitted to a scheme with a compulsory year abroad, you could still choose to compete for a place on the Study Abroad scheme once you arrive at Lancaster, subject to good academic performance in your first year. To apply for a one year study abroad place in your second year, you will need to apply in your first year at LUMS. Business Studies and BBA students can also apply to go abroad for one term in their final year.
International Summer Schools
In addition to a year or term abroad, we also offer our students to apply for international summer schools at our partner universities in Europe or Asia. In previous years, LUMS students have attended summer schools in China, Denmark and Germany and often, there are no tuition fees to pay. To find out more, contact the LUMS International Office.
