CV Builder: Introduction
Create your online CV or resumé
Lancaster's online CV Builder provides a fast and powerful way for Lancaster MBA students to build CVs, edit them whenever they like and publish the CVs live on the LUMS website - making your CV available to employers all over the world.
Using the system, you can create your CV and match yourself to a number of commonly used criteria - the same criteria that employers will use when searching the CV database. CV Builder creates 2 versions of your CV. The first, in HTML format, is fast to download and has widest accessibility. The second is in PDF format (a sample is pictured on the right) and delivers high-quality printed output. Find out more about the CV Builder features.
Who can use this facility?
Currently the online CV system is only available to:
- students on the Full-time MBA
Step 1:
If you haven't yet done so, you must sign up for an account on the LUMS website. Once you have signed up, the website will send you an email telling you how to validate your account. You MUST validate your account.
Once you've validated your account, you should email the appropriate programme administrator to inform us that you have registered.

In the subject line of your email:
- write: CV permissions
and in the message, include:
- The surname you used when setting up your account
- The first name you used when setting up your account
- The email address you used for your account user name
- The programme that you are studying (ie, which MSc programme)
We will then update your website permissions so that you can log-on to the CV Builder. When this has been done, the system will send you an automatic email, and you can then log onto CV Builder.

Once you have logged on, go to the CV page, where you will find a link to create or edit your CV
