Additional costs

You will need to budget for accommodation, meals and all your other living costs. Lancaster is a cheaper place to live than many of the UK's large cities and you should allow a minimum of around £8,000 to cover these costs.

Lancaster, being a campus university, is substantially cheaper to live in than most UK city universities. All your main facilities and resources are within 10-15 minutes walk on campus. We also have information on the cost of living.

If you have dependants then the costs will be higher. A special leaflet is available for overseas students giving further details of costs for dependants.
