Professional certification

The EBIN programme offers students the opportunity to gain professional certificates while studying at Lancaster University. Certification courses are available in a range of technologies, for example:

  • SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP TERP10 Certification)
  • Prince2 Project Management Foundation Certification v2009
  • Microsoft Systems Technologies (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist MCTS: Windows 7 Configuration)

A full list is available at http://www.lancs.ac.uk/ictfocus/ads/StudentITCert.php.

These courses are organised and offered by ICT Focus, Lancaster University’s ICT training centre - they are not part of the official MSc E-Business & Innovation (EBIN) programme. The EBIN team provides advice and practical help with registration for EBIN students who are interested in taking these courses while studying at Lancaster.

NOTE: Each course carries a fee that must be paid in addition to the normal EBIN programme fees. Each course requires students to commit time outside of the normal EBIN study programme. Full details can be found on the ICT Focus web site.

The SAP TERP10 Certification usually takes place during the Easter break and thus does not overlap with official EBIN modules. Short courses may be taken if interference with the EBIN study programme can be minimised. Long courses, like Cisco Certified Network Associate course, may be taken before or after the EBIN programme, but not at the same time.
