The EMBA class

Strong, supportive working relationships and high levels of interaction between class members are a key part of the Lancaster EMBA. That is why we keep class sizes deliberately small: typically between 20 and 30 students in each cohort. However, that class will still be diverse in nature.

Who will you be studying with?

Industry backgrounds of EMBA studentsThe mix will vary each year, but in each cohort, course members are likely to come from:

  • private, public and non-profit organisations

  • small, medium and multinational companies

  • most organisational functions (sales, marketing, accounts/finance, operations, project management, human resources, logistics)

To see where some of our students have come from, see our Alumni Profiles

General class profile

What our EMBA students share in common is that they

  • come from senior or middle management
  • are generally 28-45 years old
  • have at least 5 years work experience (class average of 12 years)

and have an enthusiam for sharing their experience with others.

Many EMBA programmes have members who fly in for the residential modules but who live and work overseas.

Graduate Profiles

The fundamental learning gained in the classroom from my fellow students and through my tutorial group remains the highlight of the course for me.
