Scholarships and funding
We know that undertaking a postgraduate programme can be a significant financial commitment – and LUMS is therefore making available over £1m in scholarship funds for applicants who have been offered a place on one of our programmes for entry in 2013 and who meet our scholarship criteria.
We offer Alumni Scholarships for recent Lancaster University graduates and in addition we have Academic Excellence and Programme Scholarships for UK/EU and international applicants who fit other merit-based criteria. You can find further details of the application process and criteria on the individual programme scholarship pages. For details about the arrangements for a specific programme, please see the programme links given below.
The scholarship amounts will vary and are typically awarded in the amounts of £1,000 to £5,000, but can be up to 50% of the fees. These generous scholarships are provided for self-funded and part-funded applicants and are awarded on a rolling basis for as long as the funds are available.
There is a huge demand for places on all of our postgraduate programmes and so we would encourage you to make your application for your chosen programme as soon as possible.
Students receiving a scholarship award may be asked to act as a student ambassador and or student representative on their programme.
