Scholarships and funding
For 2012 entry, the ITMOC programme is offering a number of programme scholarships, each worth up to £5,000, for UK, EU and overseas applicants. The scholarships will be awarded on merit, and the selection process will take into consideration the following criteria:
- academic ability
- industrial experience
- personal circumstances
When you apply, you will automatically be considered for this programme award. If you are shortlisted for a scholarship, you will then need to submit a letter of application, detailing why you would be a deserving candidate and what qualities you expect to bring to the class of 2012. The letter/statement should not exceed 500 words.
In order to qualify for any scholarship, successful candidates must pay their programme deposit by the deadline stated.
The Dean’s Scholarship for Business and Information Technology
This scholarship, which is worth half the tuition fees, is offered on a competitive basis to ITMOC applicants from the UK or EU. Those eligible will automatically be considered for this award.
Other University awards
The University has a number of scholarships and grants, details of which are available from the University Postgraduate Admissions Office.
For 2012, the Management School also has an alumni bursary scheme for recent Lancaster University graduates.
Funding for overseas students
The British Council and a number of governments and international agencies operate schemes which provide financial support for study in the UK. For details, please contact the nearest British Embassy, consulate or British Council Office. You will also find useful information on the British Council website.
Company sponsorships
Some ITMOC students are sponsored by their employers. They may be seconded on full salary or given partial support. We are delighted to talk to any companies who are considering such sponsorship.
