Programme Scholarships

A number of scholarships, ranging in value between £1000 and £4000, are available for applicants to the MA in HR and Consulting.  Higher scholarships may be awarded to applicants with an exceptional background judged along the criteria below.

Scholarships will be awarded on merit, and the selection process will take into consideration academic ability, motivation to study on the programme and/or work experience.

Categories of scholarship:

Academic Excellence Scholarships

Applicants will automatically be considered for this award. Applicants with an outstanding academic profile meeting the scholarship criteria may be invited to take part in a telephone interview.

Regional Scholarships (UK, EU, overseas)

Scholarships are awarded on merit to applicants with a strong academic profile and/or interesting background and are allocated throughout the year.

Applicants have four weeks to accept the offer and scholarship and pay the deposit.

Lancaster University Management School Alumni Bursary

Lancaster University graduates (2011 and 2012 graduates) achieving at least a 2.1 will automatically receive a £1,000 fee reduction on acceptance of their offer (payment of a deposit is required).  Further, they will be considered for a programme-specific scholarship, ranging in value between £1,000 and £4,000.

Hoping to progress to PhD?

This MA programme is eligible for ESRC 1+3 funding, which means that it can serve as the first year of a four-year programme towards PhD. After that year holders of this scholarship continue their studies with a further three years of supervised research to complete their PhD.

To apply for these ESRC scholarships you must be a UK or EU student, and your application must be submitted to us well in advance of the 12 March deadline.
