The programme brings in HRD professionals as contributors to sessions – including some of our own alumni. This provides very important practitioner perspectives on the issues facing organisations and the challenges of applying theory to real situations.
Applying your knowledge is not just something you will do after you complete the course – the Organisational Diagnosis and Consulting project takes you into a client company for a short period, to work on a live issue which the organisation has identified as important.
Freedom to explore your own topics
The assessment process is designed so that you can tailor your assignments to your own professional background or the direction you would like your career to take – enabling you to explore issues of special interest and relevance to your particular context.
Recognised pathway to PhD study
UK applicants with a good honours degree who wish to go on to study for a PhD can apply for an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) 1+3 Studentship. This covers all tuition fees and living expenses for the MA and, provisionally, for a further three years’ study for a PhD. The scheme is also open to EU students, on a fees-only basis.
