Entry requirements

Admission and selection criteria

Applicants for the MA programme will need to have:

  • Several years' relevant work experience
  • An honours degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised University, or will need to show their abilities to study at Master’s level (see below)
  • Willingness to share their knowledge and experience with others.
  • Readiness to engage with a learning community that aims to support the needs of all its members.
  • Demonstrable English language competence, if their first language is not English (see below)

Academic qualifications

We look for a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent (a minimum of 3.0 on a 4-point scale or B/B+ on a literal scale). The subject area of the first degree is not critical.

If applicants have no degree, but have substantial professional experience they may be required to produce an essay that demonstrates their potential for studying at master's level. The Department of Management Learning and Leadership will provide guidance to applicants on this.

English language

If applicants’ first language is not English and if they have not previously studied in English at degree level, they may need to demonstrate their proficiency in spoken and written English by sitting an English language test.

Scores of IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 250 are required for study on this Masters programme.
