  • An open syllabus (no fixed curriculum), allowing you to pursue your own learning interests and agendas – in line with what best suits you and your organisation

  • A strong collaborative ethos, where you can be part of a lively and challenging learning community and learn alongside experienced fellow participants and tutors

Who the programme attracts

As the programme themes are designed to be relevant to all types of organisational context, participants are drawn from organisations in the private and public sector organisations, from education, training and development, and from consultancies of all sizes. See our graduate profiles to see where some of our graduates have come from and how the programme has helped them develop their practice.

Attendance at the programme’s five residential workshops is compulsory, but the rest of the programme can be undertaken virtually. This means while many MAMLL participants work for UK-based organisations, the programme can also be undertaken by those from further afield. Some recent participants have come, for example, from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and North America.

Benefits for employers

The programme develops participants' competence to appraise theories, concepts and models and apply them to practical leadership and organisational development issues. It helps them to facilitate individual and organisational change, development and learning in a variety of operational, managerial and strategic contexts.
