Funding and scholarships

Funding for participants comes from a variety of sources. Some are self-funding, others are sponsored by their employers.

Departmental bursaries

Each year, the Department of Management Learning & Leadership is able to offer a small number of bursaries of up to £1,000 per annum for self-funded applicants. These are normally awarded on the basis of financial need.

If you wish to be considered for a bursary, you should include with your application a reasoned case outlining why you feel the bursary is needed in terms of your existing financial circumstances and commitments. However, applications for bursaries can only be considered after your application for the programme has been considered and an offer of a place has been made.

Bursaries will be allocated on a rolling basis and the overall number of awards is limited, so we recommend you submit your application as early as possible, and before 31 July at the latest.

Other awards

The University has a number of postgraduate scholarships and grants: details are available from the University Postgraduate Admissions Office.

There are also a number of special Lancaster University Management School awards and scholarships.
