MSc in Management
The one-year full-time Masters in Management provides a broad introduction to the full range of business and management disciplines.
It is designed for new or recent graduates who have not previously studied management and business and is ideal for those who lack the necessary depth of work experience for admission to the Lancaster MBA.
With its focus on developing understanding of how business functions and of the complex organisational issues which managers encounter, the programme provides ideal preparation for a wide range of business and management careers.
Via the programme's core modules students can acquire a thorough grasp of areas such as accounting, marketing, strategy, economics and organisational issues.
And through project work and practical activities within the programme, they can develop wide-ranging practical skills – invaluable for competing effectively in an increasingly competitive graduate job market.

Students on the programme come from a wide range of first degree subjects, and from many different nations. This gives richness and breadth of perspectives to the class and provides countless opportunities for cross-cultural comparison.
Opportunities exist within the programme to undertake in-company projects and gain first-hand insights into organisational issues. Those wanting to broaden their international exposure further can take part in an international exchange programme at one of Lancaster’s European partner institutions.
The MSc in Management has been approved and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing to provide direct entry on to the CIM's Professional Diploma in Marketing. The programme is also accredited by The Association of MBAs.
