Overview
Taught at intervals throughout the academic year, this core module is designed to develop your skills in conducting effective research, both within the academic environment and also within the professional workplace.
With introductory sessions in October and March and a further in-depth session before the start of the project period, the module covers a number of significant approaches to qualitative and quantitative research. These include interviewing, action research and participant observation. It also focuses on the skills needed to produce significant formal reports for academic and business audiences.
