Fees

For 2013 entry, the tuition fees for the MSc in Quantitative Finance are:

  • UK and EU students: £15,000 (GBP)
  • Non-EU students: £19,000 (GBP)

The tuition fee includes:

  • registration
  • all tuition for the 12 months
  • all examination costs during the 12 months
  • graduation

If you accept a place on the programme, you will be asked to pay a deposit to secure your place. The deposit is then deducted from your tuition fees which you pay when you start the programme. It is not normally refundable if you change your mind about coming to Lancaster, but is refundable if you do not meet any conditions attached to the offer.

Payment of fees

Fees are payable on registration at the start of the programme. It is also possible to spread your fee payments over two instalments: in October and January.

Living costs

Fortunately Lancaster is a cheaper place to live in than many other larger cities in the UK. For estimated costs of what you may need to budget to cover food, accommodation, books and other items, see the general guidance on living costs for postgraduate students.

If you are considering bringing dependants with you, the costs are likely to be higher: guidance on this is available from the Postgraduate Admissions Office.
