CFA at Lancaster

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program is the leading professional qualification in the global investment industry. The Department of Accounting and Finance provides extensive support for students interested in obtaining this prestigious qualification, including:
- CFA Program Partner status for our MSc Finance and MSc Accounting and Financial Management programmes. Recognition as a CFA Program Partner signals that the curriculum on our Masters programmes is closely tied to professional practice and is well suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA exams. Only a handful of UK business schools have been granted Program Partner status by the CFA.
- A new Masters programme designed specifically to help students gain the CFA Level I qualification. The MSc in Financial Analysis includes a complete CFA training package delivered by global financial services training provider 7city Learning that replicates in-house training programmes at leading financial institutions. The training package includes 80 hours of classroom training delivered by 7city CFA tutors, supported by full access to 7city’s online training portal.
- CFA scholarships for students applying to our MSc Finance and MSc Accounting and Financial Management programmes. These scholarships are designed to help students gain the CFA Level I qualification. Details on how to apply for the CFA scholarships will automatically be sent to students during the Summer term.
- Generous scholarships for MSc Financial Analysis students demonstrating outstanding academic performance.
In this short video John Worth, MD of Financial Control at Barclays plc, describes the value of the CFA qualification to his organisation. John graduated from Lancaster with a degree in Accounting and Finance.
