Students on Lancaster's MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management visited James Walker & Co's Cockermouth factory in April 2012 as part of their Operations and Supply Excellence module. James Walker is a leader manufacturer of fluid sealing technologies.
Factory visits like this give the students the opportunity to integrate theory with practice, and see for themselves how complex modern operations management can be.
