IR Magazine: 'From trophies to trust'

Investor Relations Magazine covers research by Sayjda Talib, Ken Peasnell and Steve Young, of the Department of Accounting and Finance, that found that events such as the Enron scandal had a significantly greater negative impact on firms that had creditable IR (investor relations) programmes. 'It is possible that firms with good IR were trading at a premium before the accounting scandals, so when the shock happened, they took a bigger fall,' says Talib.
