Research by Philip Roscoe and Carole Howorth of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development was the subject of an article in the Sunday Times on 31 August 2008. The research was part of Philip Roscoe’s doctoral studies which examined the behaviour of non-professional investors and set out to discover why ‘smart people’ appear to ‘do dumb things’ when it comes to investing in unlisted stock markets. The article is based on a paper soon to be published in the journal Accounting, Organizations and Society.
