MSc International Business students celebrate graduation

Dr Robert Read, Director of the MSc in International Business (Economics), with Tariro Nhari (Zimbabwe) at graduation.
There was an excellent presence at graduation in the University’s Great Hall on 10 December 2008 with some 16 MSc IB students along with their family and friends in attendance.
2008 was another very successful year for the MSc in International Business - in terms of recruitment, student performance and course evaluation. The MSc aims to recruit no more than 25 students each year so that students feel part of a distinct ‘group’. The small group also promotes student-staff interaction and ensures that students benefit fully from the friendly family atmosphere of the Economics Department at Lancaster.
The two Economics Masters degrees - the MSc in International Business and the MSc in Money, Banking and Finance, have been rated as 'some of the best courses of their kind in the UK’ by the External examiner (Professor Kunal Sen). The MSc IB was also ranked first in 2007-08 by its students for teaching quality out of all the full-time taught Masters programmes at Lancaster University Management School. This is a reflection of both the quality of the programme and the advantages of running a postgraduate programme with a relatively small cohort of students.
