New executive programme for Malaysia

Lancaster University Management School has launched an executive programme for middle managers in the Sunway Group, in collaboration with Sunway University College in Malaysia.
The managers come from every area of Sunway Group’s activities – construction, quarrying, property development, trading, hospitals, hotels and leisure centres.
The first module started in November and the second module will be held in March 2010. The assessment requires students to apply their learning to real issues within their business.
Programme Director John Mackness said: “In this way Sunway are developing their staff and getting a good return from their investment because the student assignments bring financial gains to the Sunway Group.”
Successful students will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement from Lancaster University.
The new executive programme builds on Lancaster's existing relationship with Sunway University College. Lancaster University validates a wide range of undergraduate and Masters degrees at Sunway.
