Lancaster University Management School highly commended at placements awards

Rate My PlacementLancaster University Management School has been highly commended at the inaugural National Rate My Placement Placement and Internship Awards for the quality of staff assistance given to students on work experience placements.

The National Placement and Internship Awards recognise and reward employers, universities and students who provide and contribute to excellence within work experience for undergraduates in the UK.

Anne Welsby, Undergraduate Officer and Placement Manager at LUMS was nominated by students on the BBA – the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management – degree for the ‘tireless and invaluable contributions made by university placement staff in helping students apply and maximise their work experience opportunities’.

The awards, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers and supported by The Independent, took place at Oxford Brookes University on 21st January 2010.

David Simm, Director of the BBA Hons at Lancaster University Management School said: “It’s a fantastic achievement for LUMS to be highly commended for such a prestigious award. I would like to thank the students for nominating Anne; her invaluable work plays an enormous part in ensuring our students gain success through internships and placements. Such success continues to position LUMS as the university of choice for students seeking work experience as part of their studies.”
