LUMS is offering a wide range of PhD studentships across all management disciplines, for doctoral study commencing in October 2010.

As you would expect from a School with one of the top ratings for research, LUMS has one of the highest ranked and largest doctoral (PhD) programmes for business and management in the world.

Our commitment to high-quality research is demonstrated by the fact that we have over 100 full-time PhD students - drawn from countries all over the world. In January 2010, the Financial Times ranked LUMS 5th in Europe for the quality of our doctoral programme.

LUMS Doctoral Studentships for Home/EU and international applicants

All studentships pay a generous living allowance and offer a fee waiver.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have an excellent first degree and Masters degree performance in a related discipline to pursue PhD studies in any area of research expertise within the School. Students who will complete a Masters degree by September 2010 may also apply.

HighWire Doctoral Training Centre

The HighWire Doctoral Training Centre at Lancaster University is currently recruiting students with backgrounds in computing, design and management to join Highwire in 2010.

The Centre offers bursaries to cover home/EU fees and an enhanced stipend of £16,490.

STOR-i Doctoral Training Centre

STOR-i is one of three recently announced Centres of Doctoral Training (CDT) in the mathematical sciences. It is a collaboration between Lancaster's Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Management Science and represents a total investment of £7 million in leading edge doctoral training in OR and statistics.

The centre will fully fund at least 40 students entering the centre between October 2010 and 2013. This funding includes a tax free salary and fees as well as supporting travel and equipment costs.
