On 10 March 2010, Dr Martin Spring (Management Science) and Dr Katy Mason (Marketing) ran a Masterclass on Product-Service Integration to help manufacturers in the Northwest develop the service component of their business models.

The Masterclass took place at Haydock Park and was designed around Spring and Mason’s current research into business model innovation. Invited speakers included Professor Tim Baines (Cranfield University), Dr Peter Lenney (LUMS), Mr Tommy Cooney, Callender (Part of the RLC Engineering Group) and Mr Steve McGee, CHEP (Equipment Pooling Systems). This video provides a flavour of the day.

(The event was funded jointly by The Manufacturing Institute and AIM, the Advanced Institute of Management Research.)

More information, and video interviews with event speakers, is available on our Business Services and Markets research project page.
