Professor David Brown describes the competition in this short video (2 minutes 20 seconds). For the information on the value of the competitiom, and on previous winners, see the second video at the foot of the page.

The semi-final will be held in Lecture theatre 4 in the Management School from 10.00 - 16.00.

The eight teams, each with a business plan, will be competing for places in the final. Prize money, introductions to venture capitalists and, most importantly, good access to networks in the UK and China, are all at stake. The same competition is taking place in China and the finalists will meet for a head-to-head in September. Some of the entrepreneurial ideas are leading-edge in terms of innovation and technology.

The event is sponsored by University of York, UCL, Queens University Belfast, China Innovation Development Association and LUMS - through the Lancaster China Management Centre

It is open to the public and free of charge. Semi-finalists begin presenting at 10.45: each one for 30 minutes. If you are joining for part of the day please enter in the last five minutes of a presentation slot so as not to put off any of the presenters.   We very much look forward to seeing you there.
