Lancaster’s innovative MA in Hospice Leadership is profiled in a Times feature on how the hospice movement is being transformed through better management.

The Times quotes Sally Watson, director of the two-year part-time MA in Hospice Leadership:

“There are clear signs from the end of life strategy and the latest Green Paper that the Government wishes to see an expansion of the rules and responsibilities that hospices might have. Hospices will need to think about leadership in a different way. They are starting to operate in a more commercial way and having to think about managerial issues. People are predicting that the hospice sector will change quite dramatically in the next five years and we need to have a body of people who are thinking about leadership in a different way.”
