Personnel Today: 'Extended drinking hours fuel absenteesim'

Personnel Today carries a story on Colin Green and Maria Navarro's research into the effect of the relaxation of drinking laws, which they say has led to more than 660,000 extra days of absence from work. "From an HR perspective it's difficult to know what you can do because you can't impose prohibitive rules on what your employees do," says Dr Green.
