The Manufacturing Institute 16 businessmen and women have shown they have what it takes to head up world-class manufacturing companies, after graduating with an MSc in Manufacturing Leadership from Lancaster University Management School.

The degree course, which has been running since 2005, has been developed by The Manufacturing Institute with accreditation from LUMS.

Aimed at those with the highest potential for achievement within manufacturing, it is designed to develop strong business leadership skills and aims to deliver significant financial benefits for companies enrolling employees on the programme.

It is part of a wide range of education and training programmes developed by The Manufacturing Institute, tailored specifically for manufacturers and designed to help create and develop successful manufacturing businesses.

Julie Madigan, Chief Executive at The Manufacturing Institute, said:

“Education is at the heart of everything we do in our charitable work and I’m delighted to see the success of our latest graduates, who will go on to lead and deliver real change within their businesses.

“From factory floor to boardroom, we have a strong track record of providing technical and leadership programmes which make a real impact to a business’ bottom line. The results speak for themselves - over the last decade, we have educated and trained over 50,000 people and delivered over £1.1bn in improvements for manufacturing companies.”

In addition to public programmes, The Institute also develops and runs tailored in-company courses, for those businesses with specific training requirements.
