Engaging with top graduate employers

During the first term of this academic year students from LUMS had many opportunities to meet with top graduate employers both on and off campus. This video feature covers many of the graduate recruitment events that ran at LUMS.
Employers are attracted to LUMS because of its reputation as a top UK business school and the high quality of its students.
The Careers, Alumni and Employer Relations Team in LUMS organised and hosted many employers on campus including Accenture, BDO, Barclays, Centrica, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, HSBC, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, KPMG, Kraft Foods, L'Oreal, Mazars, PWC, Procter & Gamble and Unilever.
The term started with the highly successful City Careers Weekend attended by 200 students and 14 senior-level professionals from Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Barclays Capital and other financial institutions. This was followed by many other events, workshops and seminars which gave students opportunities to meet employers, learn about the recruitment process, receive help with applications and take part in mock interviews and assessment centres.
Louise Briggs, Head of Careers, Alumni & Employer Relations said: “The Careers, Alumni and Relations team prides itself on its relationships with employers which provides a rich, dynamic and mutually beneficial environment in which students and employers can meet and work together,” a sentiment echoed by Mark Shaw, a Partner at Deloitte: “Deloitte works with over 25 top universities across the UK. I can say with confidence that the LUMS Team excels in supporting students, linking them to the alumni network and managing strong and enduring relationship with a large number of recruiters.”
Off campus, LUMS students visited the Manchester offices of leading graduate employers, Deloitte, PWC and Mazars, to experience the working environment first hand, and hear from employees from different service lines about the range of work in these global organisations.
