Dr Frank Cave, of the Institute of Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development, is profiled in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. Dr Cave talks about the importance of industry clusters and of the Lancashire-based Digital Alliance in particular.
"At the Institute, we carry out research into similar industry clusters across the world to see how they've done things and what works, and what doesn't. It's this that we've been able to help the Digital Alliance with.
"In IT particularly, these clusters offer a huge degree of flexibility. No two jobs are the same in the industry, but with a core range of skills the clusters can bid for work that on their own, member firms wouldn't be able to do."
